SCHMANCY Style 2014 by Glenbow Museum x Holt Renfrew


As we are counting down to Glenbow Museum's annual fundraiser SCHMANCY on February 22nd, a pre-view of the event: SCHMANCY Style took place this past Thursday Jan 30th at Belgo Brasserie. This year's event is extra special for Gar&Mann:L. Many of you who follow us on Facebook and Twitter might have notice, we have been working closely with Binzento. Here Gar&Mann:L present to you; Vinegar Designs Lab by Binzento & Gar&Mann:LVinegar Designs Lab is a official sponsor of this year's SCHMANCY by Glenbow Museum. The night's guests were given a runway presentation by Holt Renfrew and collection pieces by eight local leather designers: Bano eeMee, EG Forge, FarLee Mowat, Malika, Marina Ortman, Gabrial Moody, Brenda Dolphin and Kat Marks. This year's theme is inspired by Glenbow Museum's upcoming exhibition: Worn to Be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket





Schmancy Style 2014 at Belgo Brasserie turned out to be a huge success. Tickets were all sold out, many of the night's guests came out to show their love and support for local talent. Each of the eight local leather designers created special ready-to-wear and accessories for the night's silent auction in support of Glenbow Museum. Vinegar Designs Lab's creative team Binzento, Paul M. Lee and Jack Lee created eight fashion promo videos for each designers.  Be sure to check Vinegar Designs Lab Youtube Channel for it.






























This year's theme is inspired by Glenbow Museum's upcoming exhibition: Worn to Be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket. Part one of the runway presentation, Holt Renfrew put together various looks for what to wear to SCHMANCY 2014.





















Part two, each of the eight designers were asked to present two runway looks from.their current collection.
