LOUIS VUITTON PRESENTS "TIME CAPSULE" IN CELEBRATION OF LE FRENCH MAY 25thANNIVERSARY

Louis Vuitton announced the opening of its "Time Capsule" exhibition, a journey that revisits landmark innovations in technology and design through the history of the luxury House.  Travelling from 1854 to the present day, the story is told using rare and celebrated objects selected from the Louis Vuitton archive.

As advances in transport have accelerated our ability to travel, Louis Vuitton has responded with imaginative and ingenious creations anticipating the needs and desires of a changing world over 160 years.

Concurrently with the 20^th anniversary of the HKSAR, and the 25th anniversary silver Jubilee of Le French May, Hong Kong has been chosen as the first stop for Time Capsule.  With free entry for the public to the exhibition, Time Capsule begins with French artisans demonstrating traditional leatherwork skills that remain as relevant today as they have in the past century.  The exhibition then follows a visual timeline of landmark moments in the Louis Vuitton story, focusing on five key aspects such as the Codes of the House, Journeys around the World, Elegance and Beauty in Motion, Icons of the House and a Celebration of the House’s Past and Present links with Hong Kong.

Visitors will enjoy unprecedented access to some of the most valuable pieces from Louis Vuitton’s archives and specially curated artworks by local Hong Kong artists will also be showcased at the exhibition. Guided tours of the exhibition will also be provided to local community groups including schools and charities. Right after a successful collection with Supreme, Louis Vuitton is back again. On Tuesday Louis Vuitton announced a collaboration line of bags and accessories with Jeff Koons. The collection will be released on April 28, 2017. Some of Louis Vuitton's most iconic handbag will be reinvented with famous painting such as; Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, Mars, Venus and Cupid by Titian, The Tiger Hunt by Peter Paul Rubens, Young Girl Playing With Her Dog by Jean-Honoré Fragonard and Wheatfield With Crows by Vincent Van Gogh, all of these were part of the Koons' Gazing Ball paintings. PARKSHOW 2017 x MODE MODEL'S 30 Years in Fashion

This year's PARKSHOW 2017 is more than a fashion show. The event is an immersive cultural experience that brings together the best of Canada’s emerging fashion designers, rising artists, up and coming musical performers as well as culinary talents. PARKSHOW 2017 will take place on May 26th & 27th with two different and unique line ups of designers with a new elevated Friday night showcase.

 Mode Models and PARK are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mode Models kicking off with a special showcase on the Friday evening: 

“Mode Models is excited to partner with PARK in Calgary to kick off our 30th anniversary celebration!” says Mode Models President and CEO, Kelly Streit. “After 30 years at the forefront of the international modelling industry, Mode Models has built an amazing network of internationally working models, hairstylists, make-up artists, photographers and designers. We can’t wait to bring some of them together to celebrate our 30th anniversary at PARKSHOW.”

The series of events this spring will include: Friday and Saturday night Fashion Shows, PARKSHOW Market and two separate platinum experiences. New to PARKSHOW this year, the Market is an opportunity for Calgarians to support Canadian brands before, during and after the runway shows. Expanding on the buy off the runway concept we are providing Calgarians a unique way to support local fashion. PARKSHOW Market will be open to the public May 26-28 from 12pm-5pm with free entry and will also remain open during the evening program on May 26 & 27.
