On January 8th, 2016, Dior Homme Unveils The Latest Still And Moving Image Collaboration Between The Brand’s Creative Director, Kris Van Assche, And The Photographer Willy Vanderperre.

This Is A Long-standing Collaborative Relationship And Project – The Tenth Season Undertaken By The Designer And The Photographer Together – Adding Another Dimension And Further Insight Into The Thinking Behind The Dior Homme Catwalk Collections.

«in This Season’s Campaign, The Dior Man Metamorphoses Into Dior Men; Charismatic And Distinctly Individual, They Playfully Subvert The Rules Of Masculine Dress While At The Same Time Upholding Its Traditions. Occupying A Contemporary, Creative World, Each Character Embraces Qualities They Are Known For In Their Actual Lives. These Are The Men We Feel Embody Something Of The Spirit Of Dior Homme Today.» Says Kris Van Assche.

Here, The Singer And Lyricist Oliver Sim, The Actor Alain-fabien Delon, The Artist Rinus Van De Velde And The Model Victor Nylander Are Essentially Playing Versions Of Themselves In The Still Image Campaign And Accompanying Film, Stranger In A Room. The Film Is Named After The Song Of The Same Title By Jamie Xx That Also Features The Vocals Of His Xx Band Mate, Oliver Sim. It Is This Song That Provides The Musical Structure For The Film.

“we Wanted Men That Embodied Different Dior Homme Identities That Make Up A Dior Homme World,” Explains Willy Vanderperre. “each Young Man Is Respected For Who He Is As A Person And In What They Do; All Of Them Have Talents You Would Want To Possess. Kris And I Both Have This Personal Response To Each Of Them. At The Same Time, There Is An Easiness And Elegance To All Of Them; They Are Very Confident Young Men. We Wanted Other People To Be Invited Into Their Worlds Too.”
